Where Can I Serve?

One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as greeting people at the door, to preparing the church bulletins.

Bereavement Team

Whenever a family loses a loved one our church family steps in to minister. A dedicated team of loving servants prepare food and provide a family meal at the church facility for the grieving family.

Greeter’s Ministry

The greeter’s team at our church fills an important role. They are involved in everything from welcoming guests at our door to assisting them in answering questions, providing direction, and guiding them to various locations throughout our church facility. The greeter’s team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

We believe first impressions are important. Several of our men and women are involved in our grounds beautification team. Whether it is planting flowers, laying mulch or simply weeding a flower bed, willing servants come together on a regular basis to help bring honor to God in caring for his creation.

On occasion, we provide health services for members and our community. This may involve such services as flu shots, free blood pressure checks, cholesterol screening as well as other much needed areas of general physical well being.

Mission Outreach

Dry Run Church of Christ is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in supporting missionaries with our money and with our prayers. We have even supported missionaries who have been raised in our own congregation and are now serving Christ in other places. Currently, we support thirteen missions on a monthly basis.

We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they serve God in a formal calling to ministry or they serve in our own community through our annual Days of Service.

Praise and Worship

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Prayer Warriors

Our prayer ministry is comprised of P.O.W.E. R. (Pryaer Outreach Warriors Expecting Results.) Four different P.O.W.’s (Prayer Outreach Warrior Groups) meet throughout the week. Volunteers from our Prayer Warriors team pray for the church leaders, our families, our missionaries, our youth, the physically afflicted and so much more.

Youth Ministry

We are a church family devoted to young people. We offer youth classes and opportunities to learn at each of our services. Regular planned activities for young people of all ages line our church calendar on a monthly basis. We Love Kids!
